Cask at Pigs Ear '22, day one, 29/11/22. Black with a lasting khaki head. Nose is rich roast, chocolate, fruit cake, light smoke, toffee fudge, mellow whisky barrel. Taste comprises roast malts, chocolate, fruit cake, toffee, molasses, brown sugar melt, figs. Full bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a spike of whisky and balanced kiss of alcohol. An absolute stunner of a high ABV cask beer! One of the best double digit cask beers I've had!

Pigs Ear. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, tiny tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a nice level of dark chocolate, a little dark chocolate cream. Mild alcohol spice in the mid. Finishes smooth and semi dry with good fruity whiskey coming through. Head and shoulders above every other cask beer I've had today.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2022 - day 1. Pours black with a small, bubbly brown head. Medium sweet flavour, rich dark malts, a little smoke, raisins, fudge, ash. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some sticky dark malts, more cocoa, peaty accents. Very nice.
