Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks beerandbeyond. Cloudy yellow, white head. Fruity esters, yeast, a bit candy-ish, a bit of spiciness, slightly bitterish finish.

On tap at De Markies. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of dish cloth, mold, light fruity, light spicy, some lemon. Flavour is malty, dry, light yeasty, spicy, lemon, hint of peach, bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Tastes fine, smell was a bit off.

Tap at De Paas. Almost clear golden with big fluffy white head. Apple, spicy yeast, bready malts, light peach, cloves, light grains, grassy, soft cardboard. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied.

Zythos 2018. Hazy pale golden with a lasting white head. Fruity and spicy aroma with a floral and herbal touch. Sweetish fruity and spicy flavour with grassy hops and a touch of yeast.

Oh man, I feel so bad rating this right after Ernest, the Saison king. Why? Well he found this dull and bland. Me, I find it refreshingly not sucky. It seems like I actually haven't purchased a 750mL of Belgian beer in forever, especially a new beer. So, I have been drinking wannabe Saisons from shit American brewers. So, I'm happy I'm drinking what I actually consider a Saison. So, bland for Ernest is refreshingly novel for me. Very dough and herbal yeast beer. Sparkling and mineral mouthfeel. Light sweetness bur enough herbal to bakance the two. I think we can all agree its not offensive. It's all about context.

Bottle thanks to Rainer. Pours a cloudy gold with medium white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is bubblegum, yeast, floral, oak. Medium body, floral, yeast, spice, oak, light dry finish, good.

At Brussels Beer festival September 2017. On tap. Banana lemon saison. More a wit really. Good hop on end. Actually it grew on me. Herby farmyard lemon hoppy. Good saison.

Sampled at VCBF 2017. Thnx for sharing Tim and Eugene ! Pours rather clear blonde. Small white head. Smell is rather yeasty. Taste is sharp, grainy, very yeasty. Don’t love it.
