Bottle: Poured a hazy dark beige color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with some toffee notes and some huge bourbon notes with some vanilla notes. Taste is also a mix of deep caramelized malt notes with some toffee and residual sugar notes with huge bourbon notes with vanilla and light woody notes. Body is full with good carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. Huge barleywine with great barrel-aging notes adding to the overall complexity.

Amber colour, almost still, with slight haze. Aroma of apples, alcohol, mild bourbon. Sweet, nice malt flavour, but not the kind of depth or character (for example toffee) expected for a Barley Wine; strong bourbon, vanilla, nutty, and warming alcohol, possibly some leather, and some weird tannins.
Excellent Strong Ale.

750ml (thx, Jonathan D.!) shared with Alex at Andrey's. Appearance: hazy copper with a tan head. Aroma: a lot of red apples, some bourbon. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: very weird cause of these apple notes, don't think that it was planned like this.

A hazed dark amber amber barley wine with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, loads of caramel malt, licorice, alcohol warmth, bourbon barrel, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light woody bourbon, very nice. Bottle from brewery.
