On tap at Spark, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and dry cocoa powder. Flavour brings out dry cocoa powder, with a touch of toasted malt. Dry and powdery—okay.

Enjoyed at the brewery on my first visit. This one on tap was with nitro. Pours a dark brown, almost black with copper highlights, a nitro creamy light-beige head, good retention and full ring lacing. Roasted malt aromas with hints of caramel malt base. Smooth mouthfeel, and on the light side. Flavours of roasted malts with very mild yeast and slight coffee notes. An easy-drinking session stout.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light peated notes, molasses and dark dried fruits. In mouth, a nice bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, resinous hops, light mineral notes, very nice.
