Pours very dark brown to blaci, good stable, bit creamy mocha head. Smell is raspberry syrup, roasted malts, sweet. High in intensity. Taste is full, sharp raspberry syrup, dry roastyness in the back, bit bitter, sweet. Rather thin body ( for expectations ) mild tart/sweet/ bitter aftertaste. Tastes seem to clash more rather than blend nicely ( actual chocolate covered raspberry ) bitterness that is present really pulls the beer out of balance to me.

Opaque colour, medium-sized brownish head. Cellary, oaky, berryish aroma. Full-bodied. Roasted, raspberryish. Finish has also some roastyness and berries. Quite interesting stout. Foreign? I dunno.

Tap at Kaapse. Black with small dark beige head. Yeah quite some raspberries up front, coffee, soft licorice, dark chocolate, red currants, ash. Medium sweet and bitter and light sour. Over medium bodied with a bit oily feel. Raspberry stouts are suddenly everywhere around me! This is nice except for the licorice which clashes a bit with the fruits. Like it.

Bottle. Unclear dark reddish body with a dense beige head that fades. Aroma has dark, mild roasted malt, sweet raspberries and strange enough I can small cherry as well. Flavor has sweet dark malt with sweet and acidic berries, raspberries and a little hint of chocolate. Fine balanced body and long lasting pleasant aftertaste. All in all a very nice ans smooth beer with a fine balance between sweet and sour.
