Keg at the Euston Tap, West Lodge, 26/05/17. Murky brown with a reddish glint topped with a light beige cap. Nose is earthy, dirt, light coffee grinds, spice, tarte red berry piss, tannins, wood must. Taste comprises tangy berry fruits, funk, light dry rot, fruit balsams, red grape must, sharp citric tingle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with an acidic bite and puckering smack. Decent sour ... plenty going on here.

Keg at London Beer House. It pours darkest brown with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, jammy berry, vinous, Victoria sponge, toasty malt, earth and coffee grounds. The dry, woody, sweet - sour, vinous, salty, red berry, blackberry, balsamic vinegar, jammy, fruit compote, toasty malts, coffee and some warming with a dry, vinous finish. Interesting and good depth, but could be a touch smoothier.

Keg at the London Brewers Market. Pours rich brown with a small, creamy off-whit head. Really nice, dynamic aroma, lots of dark berries, some chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavour with mellow sour bite, lots of ripe and lightly jammy berries, raisin, blackberry. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with some further ripe, lightly leathery berries, understated cocoa, low acidity, more blackberry. Fun stuff.
