Merry Jingle. We love maple syrup, and we've been lucky enough to get a hold of a bunch of Canadian Bourbon barrels which has been used by a maple syrup producer. Together with our rich Christmas stout, this becomes sweet magic.
Ingredients: local water, malted barley, oats, molasses, muscovado and demerara sugar, hops and yeast.

330ml, bottle #4985/6800, Yuletide gift from Frau Eva. Shared with her on New Year´s Eve. The oily pour reveals a fast declining tan head leaving fragile lacing behind, black as pitch in the glass. Very attractive on the nose with smooth chocolate-syrup malts, mid-sweet. Rich and well blended taste of vanilla chocolate, dark grain, and moderate syrup on a backbone of molasses. Thick, warming and smoothly roasted malty ending. mid-dry and not overly sweet. Full bodied, slow sipper. Also enjoyed by Eva. Lovely on a New Year´s Eve. (Tromsø, 31.12.2024).

Mitt første besøk i et nytt landskap (gravøl for RB?), en 0,33 flaske fra statsnissens utvalg i Verksgata, nydt hjemme etter flasking av årets siste av 15 hjemmebrygg: nesten helt svart med svært kortvarig skum. Forførerisk aroma etterfølges av en heftig og begeistrende smak med solide mørke malter, like mørke karamelchokolader, årgangsmadeira, knekk, sirup, sød lakrids og hint av bjørnebær- og solbærsyltetøy. Hvis jeg ikke får overført mine data fra RB blir nok dette første og siste besøk på Brewver, noe som vil være positivt for økonomi og helse, men ikke for velværet.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 24/12/24. Black with a tan cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, bourbon, dark malts, maple syrup, molasses, brown sugar melt. Taste comprises chocolate, dark malts, spice, bourbon bite, maple syrup, toffee, roast malts, toasted brown sugars. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a good blast of alcohol. Solid sipper ... punchy but weighs in a good click under the advertised 15.5%.

Opaque dark brown beer with a small dark tan head. Mildly viscous palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Rich dark malts, a good level of slightly woody dark chocolate. Sweetness not much of a factor here. A decent amount of ripe fruity bourbon barrel, spicy to. Maple comes through in a modest fashion on the back end but, once again a curious lack of any pronounced sweetness. Finishes mildly warming. A heavyweight Impy for those who don't like them to be sweet. I liked it but, it never really grabbed me, there was no wow moments, just a surprise it wasn't a sweeter brew.

Solid evening sipper Dark dark pour and a small beige head. Fine intensity in the aroma. Balanced sweetness and a pleasant carbonation level. Fruity, some oak, chocolate and mild bourbon in the flavor. [Bottle at Komlefjorden 24]

Fat på Biskoppensvapen Guuuustaf. Här doftar det madeira i bästa kvalitet👍. Nu tar jag bara liten klunk för ovanlighetens skull . Känner först bourbon en halv sekund sen kommer starkvin in sen efter två tre sekunder kommer choklad 🍫 indränkt i bourbon . HÄRREJÄVLAR VAD GOD 😋. Smakar som bästa The Bruery ju!!. Relativt söt desert stout. känner nu efter en stund när jag tar sista klunken tydligt körsbär . Konstigt jag inte kände detta innan.
