Can from the lcbo. Clear copper pour, with a small beige head. Aroma is very malty, boh sugary, bready malty notes. Ripe fruit, sugary cereals. Nice mouth feel, soft carb. Low bitterness, quite sweet, and quite boozy,

Can: Poured a deep brown color ale with a medium size brown dark beige foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with some unrefined grain notes and residual sugar. Taste is also a mix of deeply caramelized malt with some unrefined grainy notes and residual sugar. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Below par for the style.

This scotch ale poured a deep amber colour with a creamy, light tan head. Nice lacing. Scents include ripe fruit, light whiskey, banana and a very hint of paint thinner. First swig was thick and sweet with a mild alcohol warming. Flavours of molasses, malt, brown sugar, toffee, alcohol and a bit of the whiskey barrel. Finish is slick, sweet and boozy with toffee flavours lingering.

Very slightly hazed (getting hazier at last pour, with particles) amber colour with a golden hue. The head is frothy, warm light-beige with decent retention and some foamy lacing. Dark fruit nose (plums, raisins, dates) over caramel malt base, mild alcohol and hops. Pretty much the same for the taste with the fruits and caramel, toffee. The alcohol seems well-hidden with just a tad warming in the end, with the hops creating a dryness to cut the sweetness. The finish seems to get a little stronger as it goes, but overall - goes down smoothly for a Wee Heavy.
