This beer was brewed especially for London Craft Beer Festival 2017 at the National Centre of Circus Arts. It's a playful mix of tart berries and cocoa. First up you get black forest gateau, then citrus and pithy grapefruit notes bounce around your taste buds. The sweet, juicy tang - think fruit winders - takes centre-stage with every sip. And just like fruit winders, the enjoyment of this beer grows as the flavours unravel.

Bottle at home, 03/05/18. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a handsome tan cap. Nose is tangy berry fruits, light spice, burnt lemon, cocoa powder. Taste comprises tangy raspberries, dark malts, light chocolate biscuit, charred notes, jammy berry pips. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light dryness in the close. Light tangy fruit affair ... inoffensive stuff but nothing I'd return to.

Opaque colour, beige head and lace. Aroma is a bit farmhousy, berryish, cocoa. Light-bodied. Berries, yes black berries, some toasted notes and light tart citrus. Interesting flavour, aroma is more meh. Ok.

Bottle shared in Hackney - thanks to Tipple. Pours unclear brown with a creamy topping. The nose has toasted bread, hints of berries. Light to medium sweet flavour with leathery fruits, cherry, brown bread, a touch of tang. Light bodied with average carbonation. Alright balance in the finish, a little nondescript, more toasty malts, lightly tangy berries. Interesting.

Bottle thanks to Mr Angry. It pours cloudy dark brown with a small beige head. The aroma is earthy, musty, creamy, wood, leather, earthy, coffee grounds, wood bark and berry. The taste is smooth, toasty, earthy, tangy berry skin, tangy, cherryade, creamy vibes, cream soda, mild acidity, wood, bark and tangy green apple with a soft finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Weird, but not bad.

Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is light and dry and has a decent minerally crispness. Thin malts, quite tangy and with a modest earthy chocolate. Just a trace of creamy sweetness. Tangy berry fruits before a dry finish. It's quite thin and dry and I like the concept but it's not working that well.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden, London. A dark brown coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Aroma of berries and dark fruit. Tastes similar, berries, dark fruit, slightly sour. Not my thing, Weird Beard can do so much better.
