Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 27th September 2015, as "York Ale". Copper with a lasting off-white part-lacing foam. Solidly malty aroma with some cheesy hints. Rounded sweet fruits and malts in-mouth with a few leafy hops. A pungent, nutty kick. Nutty malts and herby hops in finish. Engaging texture and medium body.

Graity dispense at Craft 100, CBC Clapham, 03/04/14 as ’York Ale’. Hazed amber with a moderate off white swirl and spotting. Nose is fruit rind, earthy hop notes, candied orange peel, light sprice, bready pangs. Taste comprises light biscuit, bitter fruits, apple skin, dry citric rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 14/2/2014 as "York Quaffing Ale". Amber with a slight, off-white head. Easy drinking, with some biscuity malts and a touch of tangerine before a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Golden with a thick creamy head. It has a light wild bushy character to it, not quite medium bodied but close. Aroma is a wild berry.
