Pigs Ear. Cask. Slightly murky looking deep brown beer, no head. Smooth palate, modest carbonation. Thin, dry and tangy dark malts. Trace of bitterish dark chocolate. Mild esters. Thin dry finish. Not doing anything for me.

Cask Gravity at Pig's Ear 2017. It pours black with a bubbly beige head. The aroma is earthy roast, bitter - sweet, cocoa, sticky orange marmalade, coffee, soft roast and mellow milk chocolate notes. The taste is bitter, earthy, roasted malt, charred pine, coffee, ash, orange peel, tar and ash with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Aroma is rather nice, but the taste doesn't live up to it. Decent anyhow.

Cask at Pig's Ear '17,day one, 05/12/17. Black with a decent tan head. Nose is rich roast, toffee, spice, charr, chocolate biscuit. Taste comprises light coffee grinds, mellow spice, roast malt, tangy fruit rinds. Medium bodied, soft carbonatiob, drying close. Decent enough stout ... can't say I noticed any orange marmalade.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2017 - Hackney. Pours Clear, reddish-brown with minimal head. The nose holds earth and orange peel. Lightly sweet, with ashy roast, more earthy bitterness, old leather. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Drying and bitter to close. Not the best.
