Cask at Billy Bobs (JDW), High Wycombe. Gold with a thin white head and a light fizz. Floral with a little peach and lemon followed by caramel and butter, giving a rather slimy mouthfeel. Not one of the Squirrel’s best.

Cask at the Evening Star, Brighton on 3rd November 2012. Hazy amber with thin part-lacing off-white foam film. Smoky, hoppy aroma. Citric, yeaty and hoppy in-mouth, somewhat akin to a Weißbier. Tangy finsh and zingy mouthfeel.

Cask, handpump at The Horse & Groom, Caulcott, Oxon Sunday 19th August 2012 A golden ale that is described on the pumpclip as ’herbal and buttery’ not the sort of things that you would expect to be selling points on a golden beer. I tend to get a fruitiness it is a touch citric with some lemon, not a great beer by the usually decent standards of Red Squirrel but better than the description suggests. A6 A4 T6 P4 Ov12 3.2
