Cask at the Pembury Tavern - Hackney. Pours clear, deep brown with a tight, creamy mocha cap. Fairly subdued, with some well toasted brown bread, burnt brown sugar, earthy hops, nips of pine and coffee grounds. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; alright condition. Finishes with more earthy hops, a little burnt toast, bitter ash, cocoa, torched grass. Not bad.

Tap at Waterloo Tap. Vague cocoa aroma. Dark. Fluffy beige head. Initially quite sweet. The bitterness is there but keeps its head down. Sweet sugared mocha and some sour berries. Light-medium bodied. Watered down cream mouthfeel. Astringent finish.

Cask at the CASK Pub & Kitchen Brighton, on 25th May 2012. Clear amber with mostly lasting off-white foam and a fair amount of lacing. Aroma is richly hoppy with cheesy notes. Lightly bitter with some grassy hops, and a moderately bitter aftertaste. Light to zingy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable and easy drinking ale.
