Bottle at home in London - picked up down in Clapham somewhere. Pours clear, orangey amber with a mellow, frothy off-white head. The aroma gives off lightly toasted grains, leaves, ripening berries, English yeast. Light to medium sweet flavour with a fairly simplistic overall character, further bready malts, light caramel, earthy and leafy bitterness, faint citrus, more berries. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pretty well balanced on the finish, with more sweet bread, low bitterness, subtle leaves and berries. Quite easygoing and drinkable.

Cask at the Magpie and Crown, Brentford on 12th February 2016. Copper with off white shallow foam and full lacing. Smooth sweet velvety malt and fruit aroma. Fruity I’m-mouth with sweet berries and citric notes. The finish disappoints, by fading rapidly into a nondeScript mix of sweetness and mustiness. Smooth mouthfeel, and medium body.

Cask at the King’s Arms Waterloo, 18/11/15. Clear golden copper with a moderate off White covering. Nose is caramel, bready, airy malt, orange, straw. Taste comprises grain, toasted bread, light citric notes, caramel, vanilla. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, a touch thin, semi drying close. So so.

Cask at The Alma, Crystal Palace. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is toasty grain, creamy, brown bread and cereal. The taste is bitter-sweet, toasty grain, brown bread, caramel and lemon parfait with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. I was hopping for more hops, but decent enough anyhow. Pretty drinkable stuff.
