Cask at Pigs Ear 2017, day 1 - London. Pours murky orange with a foamy, white head. Ripe and gooey citrus fruits in the aroma, orange especially, some melon to boot. Medium to big sweet flavour, with sugary ripe orange, tropical fruits, bready pale malts. Medium to full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Sugary finish, with mellow alcohol warmth, more big, gooey fruits. Hefty, but not bad.

Cask at Pig's Ear '17,day one, 05/12/17. Hazed orange with a decent off white head. Nose is stewed fruits, caramel, booze fumes, bread pudding. Taste comprises candied fruits, sticky and chewy fruits, figs, caramel, dried fruits, melting sugar. Full bodied, moderate carbonation a touch cloying, boosty rise in the close. Ok sipper if a bit hot and raw and ultimately lacking depth of flavor given the ABV.

Pigs Ear. Cloudy gold - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Smooth sweet malts. Ripe mango and ripe citrus. Tinned mango. Mild spice and ripe tangerine. Soft semi dry finish. Rich, ripe and fruity. Good fun. More in common with a DIPA for me.
