44cl can from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark brown, with fine cream foam. Aroma is malty and scotch. Body is average, like carbonation. Some stickiness and phenolic feeling. Taste is pretty sweet. Final is also fairly long and sweet.

Looks dark brown to opaque black in the glass, with reddish hints if seen through light. No more than one finger of off-white head, but good retention and nice lacing. Average intensity in the aroma, with decent malt depth/complexity: toffee and slight caramel, rather vivid roasted malts notes (coffee grains), slight chocolate, plus a touch of underlying fruitiness (red dried fruits/fruit cake). Taste is sweeter than the smell suggested with just a bit of roastiness and toffee + caramel taking the main stage, with underlying notes of chocolate, fruitiness as per aroma, maybe the slightest hint of licorice. Quite sweet in the mouth but well balanced by a semi-dry slightly astringent finish. Medium to dense bodied with slightly sub-average carbonation, resulting in a semi-full, semi-creamy mouthfeel. Overall: probably lacked something that could catch me, but definitely well made.
