A couple of after-work pints at Christian Firtal. Golden with a big and lasting white head. Aroma of hay and fruit, with a bit of citrus. Sweetish fruity flavour with clean, chewy malt and a mild bitter finish. Not the most exciting CV golden ale, but still exceptionally drinkable

Cask @ C4, Odense. Pours clear golden with a creamy white head and lacings. Hay, grass, buiscuit and citrus. Some dough and a floral hoppyness. A tad too much grain and corn. Smooth. Ends dry.

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A light golden beer with dense yellowish head. The aroma has notes of lemons, hay, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of peaches, malt, and some hops, leading to a quite bitter finish.

(Cask at Castle, Chancery Lane, London, 18 May 2011) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grass, lemon and hints of soap. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grass and lemon peel. Rather light body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced, refreshing and highly drinkable.

Gravicask at the Sun Inn, Kelvedon for their bank holiday weekend beer fest. Clear gold beer, no real head. Semi dry palate. Tangy hops. Mildly bitter orange with a little grapefruit and a trace of peach. Semi dry finish. A tasty little beer.

Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen, London on 7th May 2011. Pale gold with thin white head and a little lacing. Rich cheesy and grassy hoppiness in aroma and liquid, then a citrus note as beer subsides in the mouth followed by grapefruit and lemon citric finish. Beautiful. The lower markings given by previous raters may relate to tastings 3 or more days after mine and the beer could possibly have been past its best by that time...
