Bottle from Hoppily. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, chocolate, nut, coffee and caramel. Light sweetness, heavy roasted bitterness. Towards medium bodied, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. An above average level of roasting to this one, pretty decent brew overall just lacks a bit of body.

Bottle share at Leighton’s Stratoflat. Thanks to Fergus. Almost opaque dark red - amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Somewhat insipid dark malts bring mild tang and lactose. Finishes semi dry. Comes over as a wimpy milk stout. Meh!
