Oh no! We left the raspberries unattended over the weekend and when we returned on Monday, the Mares in the Night somehow wound up all tangled in that red jammy goodness! Try as we might, we could not unjam them from their predicament. Sorry everyone!

Bottle from the LCBO. Dark brown pour, with a small off white head. Aroma is very lactic, sour raspberries, sour cherries, light wood. Mouth feel is nice, dry, and with a lively carb. Finish is mouth puckeringly sour. This might be one of the sourest beers ive ever had. Incredibly dry, fruit falls off near the end, hints of raspberry, just dominated by the sourness, and lactic notes.

December 2019 - Looking forward to this. Bottle from lcbo. Pours cloudy coke brown with rouge tinge at the edges, no head to speak of. Raspberry nose, the mild socks and vinegar and sweetness. Taste is big sour wallop, with raspberry following up, but never overtaking the sour that lingers. It's hard to pick up much else. There is a lack of balance here, but I appreciate the effort. June 15 2020 - Bottle 2 bought the same time as the bottle above - that 6 months more in the bottle has helped mellowed this beer out. That aforementioned sour wallop has smoothed out. Seller this one folks.

A dark burgundy red ale with a thin purplish white head. In aroma, beautiful sweet fruity mix of raspberry jam, light acidity, light Brett, light lactic notes, very nice and complex. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with loads of acidity, lemon notes, raspberry jam, light Brett, very jammy, beautiful. On tap at brewery.

Bottle: Poured a hazy dark blueish color ale with a small head with limited retention and some light lacing. Aroma of tart raspberry notes with some light acidic notes with some sour notes clearly identifiable. Taste is a mix of tart raspberry flavours with some light acidic notes and some sour notes with very minimal amount of residual sugar. Body is somewhat full with good carbonation. Enjoyable and you can easily notice the huge amount of raspberry that were used in brewing this beer.
