The Pigs Ear wrap up tasting at ChrisO’s. Bright clear amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and dry. Modest carbonation. Very tangy dark malts, thin and there is a milky sourness. Touch of dark fruits. Thin dry finish. Not digging this milky sourness at all!

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-Christmas Tasting. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is bitter - sweet, sticky, toasty, treacle, light creaminess and chocolate cake. The taste is roasty, charred wood, milk chocolate, fruit cake, umami and light spice. Medium body and fine carbonation. Simple, but easy - going.

Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre-Christmas / post-Pigs Ear holiday tasting of 2015 - London. Cheers! Pours rich brown with reddish highlights and a creamy khaki head. Basic dark malt aroma, with nips of cocoa. Light-medium sweet flavour, with plenty of dark sugars, dark fruits, berries, slight chocolate, minimal bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation, and moderately creamy texture. Sugary chocolate finish, some baking cocoa, mild earthy bitterness. Good stuff.
