Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 1/19/2017. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of huge tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, light caramel, lightly toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome complexity and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruit juice/peels, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light caramel, lightly toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruit juice/peels, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance. Slight lingering hop/fruit astringency near the end of the glass, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and sticky/resin/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.8%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited IPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruit juice/peels, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink; despite the lingering bitter/drying resins. Amazingly vibrant C hop and fruit juice/peel flavors; with a nice malt backbone that is not overly sweet. A highly enjoyable offering.
