Handpull cask at the Salmon, Leicester. Dark brown, almost completely opaque with a thick beige/tan head. Light aroma with chocolate malt, charcoal, some caramel. Sweet Taste with a sour edge. Some fruity hop mid-sip, leading to a drier finish. More chocolate predominant in the aftertaste. Oily body. Very nice indeed.

Oldham Beer Festival 2016. Extremely dark coloured ale. Its style is recognisable, but there’s a stronger floralness over roasted malts here.
