Glass, 4-ounce, draught, Festibière de Gatineau, savoured on May 31 2018; eye: mahogany, semi-opaque, no effervescence, ring of brown head, no lacing; nose: malt, red wine, tannin, light wild yeasts, small red berries, light cherry; mouth: malt, red wine, tannin, light wild yeasts, small red berries, light cherry, semi-dry finale in tannin with presence of red wine, medium-full body, lightly below-average carbonation, lightly bitter, slightly sweet, lightly tannic texture; overall: nice surprise

Verre, 4 onces, en fût, Festibière de Gatineau, savourée le 31 mai 2018; œil : acajou, semi-opaque, pas d’effervescence, anneau de mousse brune, pas de dentelle; nez : malt, vin rouge, tanin, léger levures sauvages, petits fruits rouges, léger cerise; bouche : malt, vin rouge, tanin, léger levures sauvages, petits fruits rouges, léger cerise, finale semi-sèche en tanin avec présence de vin rouge, corps moyen-corsé, carbonatation légèrement sous la moyenne, légèrement amère, très légèrement sucrée, texture légèrement tannique; en résumé : belle surprise

Draft: Poured a dark/cloudy dirty brown color ale with a nice brown foamy head. Aroma of caramelized malt with light dry fruits with some barrel-aged notes clearly distinguishable. Taste is a mix of caramelized malt notes with dark dry fruits notes, some candi sugar with notes of Cognac and Brandy to round off any edges. Body is full with good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Another very enjoyable blend from this brewery.

A hazed brown ale with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light ground cherry, light Brett, light lactic notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with light ground cherry, light Brett, light lactic notes, very nice. On tap at Festibière de Gatineau été 2018.

(Bottle) upon opening a bottle that sat for months in the cellar one third of the contents left the bottle as pressurized foam - not a good start. Clear, bright dark orange amber colour with explosive foamy head; aroma of of candy sugar, hint of barnyard; sweet flavour with a long, light bitter finish
