A barrel aged Imperial Stout that's aged in Basil Hayden barrels for a total of 6-8 months (depending on the barrel). Many pounds of Madagascar vanilla beans were added to the barrel. Expect an intense vanilla flavor from the beans AND the barrel.

A touch of lactose was added to the stout.

Little siesta after the Jersey run. Back now! Not nearly as boozy or hot as when I had on draft. Get the bourbon at the end, chocolate/vanilla lead the charge. Game seven between Dallas/Vegas and Phightens. Ordered vodka penne for dinner.

Great stout!

Bottle pour shared by AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Opaque cola brown with nice viscosity, ring of beige head and no lacing. Aroma is strong mix of base stout, vanilla and bourbon. Taste is strong spicy bourbon, vanilla over base stout. Smooth, average carbonation, slight alcohol harshness/warmth, and finish as taste. Better balance to aroma than flavor. Taste a bit too spicy, slight alcohol harshness.

500 ml bottle from the brewery. Aroma is a nice mix of bourbon with vanilla bean. Flavor has the addition of some roasted malt. The vanilla lingers for a good duration after the sip. Bourbon cuts the sweetness. Very nice!

Real boozy, slight burn, vanilla. This can certainly be sat on for a bit. Real hot right now, curious how this will settle itself after six months.
