Bottle from Boxbeers. Pours amber to golden brown with a moderate sized short lasting off-white head. Aroma of wood, sweet malt, citrus, sour berries and caramel. Light sweetness, heavy sourness, touch salty. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Tart fruit, slightly vinegar finish. Enjoyed this.

Pours dark amber from the bottle. The fleeting head soon fizzes away. Aroma is a mix of vinegar, sweet malts and oak. Taste is quite sour, dry, finishing sour and vinegary. The corn grits in the mash are very noticeable at the finish, providing a lightly sweet twist to what otherwise threatens to be a somewhat monotone experience. Body is medium with prickly carbonation. Overall this is a style I find hard to rate but I would buy again, so that’s saying something.
