The Pigs Ear wrap up tasting at ChrisO’s. Lightly hazy gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Light pale malts, touch of grain. Mild spice. Modest Sorachi lemon tasting a bit tired. Light finish. For a Sorachi beer this is a bit dull tbh.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-Xmas Tasting. It pours lightly hazy gold with a thick white head. The nose is toasty, straw, icing sugar, candied peel, pear, apple and a touch of tapioca. The taste is bitter-sweet, toasty, woody, spice, orange peel, grass, herbal notes and umami. Medium body and moderate carbonation. The Sorachi is not Ace.

Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre-Christmas / post-Pigs Ear holiday tasting of 2015 - London. Cheers! Pours unclear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds wheat, light yeast, pale bread, citrus, hints of meringue. Light to medium sweet flavour with more wheat, tangerine, lemon. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with mellow hay, lemon meringue, wheat bread, yeast. Not bad overall.

Bottle split at Chriso pre Xmas tasting, 06/12/15. Lightly hazed golden yellow topped with an off White covering. Nose is light funk, smoke, citric peel, light Sorachi fumeage, lemon tinged straw. Taste comprises floral notes, spice, subtle sorachi, yeast esters, funk, bready notes, citric rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stuff, the sorachi is subtle and we’ll balanced.
