This new beer is a lighter version of our Oude Questche Tilquin à l'ancienne. Same recipe as the Oude Questche Tilquin à l'ancienne with 250 gr fresh plums per liter, but lighter in alcohol, due to the use of a blend of 50% of Meerts and 50% of 1 and 2 years old lambics.

Draught No head but whitish rim over fully hazy ochre-orange beer. Fruity, fruitbushes, pineapple, unripe fruit, wild fruit (fact, that). Sour, sour fruit - and indeed, quetsches; lemon. But for the rest, not very distinctive - misses lambic touches. Light body, light acidburn, faint lipsmacking acidity, not very carbonated obviously. Nice, if a tad underwhelming.

Tap at FFB20, shared with the crew. I only took numerical notes while having this one.

From tap at Café De Koffer, Groningen. Aroma is tart red fruits with funk and plums. Nicely puckering sourness, notes of red berries. Medium body. Refreshing, good sourness. So drinkable and fun... Lovely!

100mL pour at Dageraad. Pours clear orange-gold with white head. Aroma has a manure-like barnyard funk, plums. Flavour has a great barnyard character, gentle manure, juicy plums and tart plum skins. Fantastic.

On tap. Pours a dull copper color with light head. Aromas of old peach skins, wood, and wheat. Flavors of old wood, somewhat tart dried fruit and wheat. OK but wildly overrated.Maybe oxidized…

Smooth fruity and stingy sourish with some hints of plums, some farmyardy notes and acidic tartness.
