Pounder can. Slight haze on a lager off pale eye, rapidly fading white bubbly head. Smells a little like aged lager that's been sitting on the shelf, date code is 5/24. Some co2, but fairly flat on the palate. Easy drinken yet not real pleasant, has quite a bit of a processed flavor about it; odd backbone and somewhat metallic at times. Must say tho, not much bitterness in this. Finishes with a dull uninteresting tedious characterless & monotonous lager ending. Even as a macro lager lover, found nothing special or refreshing about this.

Super crisp and clear completely golden coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall perfectly white head and no visible bubbles here. Aroma of light grass, some noticeable cereal malts along with a kick of caster sugar and hint of lemons here without much else, aside from a crisp lager yeast, especially towards the end. Light-bodied; Strong bitter malts noticeable with a lot of graininess and a slight earthy quality that couples with the lemons and lager yeast showing right behind with a light sweetness as well and a soft candy-like sweetness at the finish brings a good well-rounded note that makes this very easy-drinking. Aftertaste shows a lot of grassy and citrusey flavours with some noticeable sweetness and light malts here and a touch of lemons and light lager yeasts, but this is very easy-drinking, yet crisp and enjoyable throughout, especially with the lager yeast and enjoyable sweetness. Overall, a nice and enjoyable beer, especially in the heat here in the mid-atlantic and while this was crisp and light, there were still enough flavours and complexity to make it worthwhile and enjoyable! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Harris Teeter in Cary (Tryon Village), North Carolina on 30-May-2021 for US$1,87 sampled at my house here in Washington on 18-August-2022.

3 week old pint can A: Poured clear bright yellow with a short lasting white head. S: Musty and dusty with fresh apple, grape and biscuit dough. T: Very dry and lightly bitter with tart apple coming to the forefront. A bit of honey and bread sweetness balances at the end. M: Fine but strong carbonation, smooth texture and a clean dry finish. O: Everything I like in kolsch. Clean, dry, lightly fruity. Like Champagne.
