This new beer is a lighter version of our Oude Questche Tilquin à l'ancienne. Same recipe as the Oude Questche Tilquin à l'ancienne with 250 gr fresh plums per liter, but lighter in alcohol, due to the use of a blend of 50% of Meerts and 50% of 1 and 2 years old lambics.

Tap. Opaque reddy pink, no head. Aroma of fresh sweet plums some lemon, funky wheat. Served flat. Lightish bodied. Fruit is a little less prominent on the palate but it's delicate and well complemented by lemony, tart and twiggy lambic. Not terribly complex but superbly balanced. Tasty and very refreshing.

Small sample from draft. Pinkish orangey color, hazy. No head to speak of. Aroma’s: sour, wood, fruity, but I wouldn’t be able to recognize prunes. Flavor is sour and woody. Light bodied. Long dry tart finish.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 19 May 2017) Hazy orange colour with brief, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with apricots, plums, grapefruit, unripe grapes, horse stable and barnyard. Fruity, tart taste with apricots, plums, orange peel, pink grapefruit and a dry finish with a harsh acidity. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and tasty, with a fairly aggressive tartness. Very nice.
