This new beer is a lighter version of our Oude Questche Tilquin à l'ancienne. Same recipe as the Oude Questche Tilquin à l'ancienne with 250 gr fresh plums per liter, but lighter in alcohol, due to the use of a blend of 50% of Meerts and 50% of 1 and 2 years old lambics.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Aarhus. Pours hazy orange, no head. Aroma of light sourness, malt, barnyard, tart fruit, plums. Flavor is light sour, tart fruity, yeast, barnyard, tart plum. Medium body, average carbonation, fruity light acidic finish. 070118

Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. It pours hazy pink with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, tangy, sugary, Granny Smith apple, plum, must, funk, barnyard, ume, salt and cracker. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, sweet - sour, plum, grape skin, prune, cbright acidity, sherbet and a touch of funk with a dry, tart finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Fresh, bright and delicious.

Keg at the Beavertown Extravaganza, Day Juan, 08/09/17. Salmon pink with a well presented off white covering. Nose is tarte plums, funk, damp wood, hay bale, lemon peel. Taste comprises pissy citrics, sharp plum, stoned fruits, acidic notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a puckering acidic curtain call. Solid.

Draught @ Bells & Whistles. They have it listed as 6.4% on the board, but that seems like it would be a mistake, since the draft is normally 5.3%. FWIW, it tastes more like 5.3 to me. Either way it’s new to me. Cloudy, attractive pinkish colour. Thin head. Attractive plum aroma, acidity is evident, lactic. On the palate this is sharp and acidic, with tart plums, a flash of leather. Finish is earthy, bone dry, still some sharpness, not so much sweetness. Solid, though for my personal taste I’d want a bit more sweetness and expesssive fruit.
