This new beer is a lighter version of our Oude Questche Tilquin à l'ancienne. Same recipe as the Oude Questche Tilquin à l'ancienne with 250 gr fresh plums per liter, but lighter in alcohol, due to the use of a blend of 50% of Meerts and 50% of 1 and 2 years old lambics.

2nd day of BXL fest. Hazy pink with white head. Sweet fruity notes, grape, prunes, berries, some hay, over medium sour and moderate bitter. Some almond woodiness. Medium body, lots of soft carbonation. Pretty out there.

Draught @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Place Fontainas 8, Brussels, Belgium 1000. [ As Tilquin Quetsche - Draft Version ].ABV: 5,3%. Murky medium red orange colour with a small to average, frothy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, moderate heavy yeasty, horse blanket, barnyard, leather, funky, plum, fruit, wood, tart plums. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, wood - oak, plum, funky, horse blanket, dry, tart plum - citric - lemony. Body is medium, texture is smoth, carbonation is soft to flat. [20180317] 8-3-9-4-18

Tap (at taptap). Pours pinkish amber. Aroma is sour, fruity, plums, vinegar. Flavor is sour, fruity, plums, vinegar, watery, some musty cellar. Finish is sour and watery. Overall: ok.

At brettfest. Aroma of plums, berries, funk and horseblanket. Taste has dry plum, horseblanket, tart, funk, acidic sourness and berries. Nice!

Tap at Foeders. Hazy pink with pale light pink head. Light funk, sweet plums, not nearly as harsh and raw as quetsche fizzy on my mums yard! Light red currants, hay, soft lemon, grassy. Over medium sour and just medium bitter. Medium bodied. Lovely.
