A West Coast style IPA brewed with five different American and new-world hop varieties for a multisensory hop experience. Late dry hopping with Simcoe & US Cascade brings a wave of delicious tropical fruit flavours which crash onto the palette with a pleasingly bitter finish that has been known to stiffen the lip – pucker up!

Bottle from Morrisons. Label: Stiff Lip American IPA 5%. Pours a clear golden colour with a thinnish white head. Aromas of citrus, tropical fruit and a little peach. Taste has more citrus fruit, just a hint of tropical and peach and a big citrus rind bitterness on the finish. A little added peppery spice. Thinnish body and slightly oily mouthfeel. Bitterness a bit too harsh in my opinion. Just Ok.

Keg at the Jerusalem Tavern, Farringdon on 29th January 2020. Clear amber with shallow white foam and full lacing. Zesty citrus aroma. Grapefruit and orange peel in mouth and a rich and intense citrus and tropical fruits finish. Zingy mouthfeel and light to medium body. Exquisite.

Fra fat på Mossy Well Muswell Hill nov-18: lett uklar gylden med fint skum som varer. Deilig fruktighet både i aroma og smak - mild citrus, mango, citronskald, citrongræs og litt furunål. Spenstig, frisk bitterhed i afslutningen. Mersmak.

Keg at The Flying Horse, Gatwick S Terminal. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, lemon - lime, lemongrass, biscuit and toasty grain. The taste is crisp, bitter - sweet, toasty grain, biscuit malt base, pithy, lemon peel, straw, lemongrass, pepper, resin and metal with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A touch metallic and more malty than I would like. So-so.
