Framinghammer is a unique creation that pays homage to our hometown of Framingham Massachusetts. This is a hard-working city that can handle some heavy-lifting beer and appreciates good craftsmanship. The Framinghammer base is perfectly suited for creating decadent, barrel-aged versions every year. Each batch spends a lengthy conditioning period in various casks to create a smooth, chocolatey texture that compliments some creative additions.
Watson’s has been hand-crafting delicious confections for 90 years, and we’ve been known to indulge a time or two. So we thought it would be fun to create this Framinghammer inspired by their chocolate cashew turtle candies. Check out their work at watsonscandies.com

City Tap draught, 3/16/25.
Maybe with age the adjuncts have homogenized and the barrel faded because this just smells like a Tootsie roll, or turtle, I guess. Not much else, really.
Chewy caramel, chocolate with a fudge coconut character and very low barrel. But the barrel aging is felt in the texture and dryness. Despite the adjunct heavy flavors, it's not sweet at all. Some spice lingers as well. Lighter in body per this series; these are never syrup bombs or even very thick. But the flavors are true and clear. No alcohol noted. Impossible task to follow Woodford Big Bang 2021, but this is still very well-done.

Pint bottle at Benny’s place, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear almost black in colour with a short-lived, frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasty, big chocolate, nutty. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, chocolate, red berry fruit, creamy coconut, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lighter bodied than expected, but the aroma and flavour made up for it.

500 ml bottle.Aromatic hints of melted, caramel candy, and soft oak. Flavor is mostly a reflection of the aroma with addition of soft vanilla and mild oak. Body is appropriate for the style. Nice flavor and it is like the turtle candy somewhat.

Bottle from the Packie. Solid black color with a thin tan head that dissipates quickly leaving a ring. Big milky caramel nose with light bourbon and nutty edges. Smooth creamy tasty like liquid desert. Very Tasty!
