Muckle Buster is inspired by the radiant sunsets across the big skies of the Solway Firth where Hadrian's Wall marches westward to the coast. Progress, First Gold and Cascade hops give this beer notes of rich dark fruit.

500ml bottle from Local in Carlisle. Shared with Finn on a train to Newcastle. Near-clear red-brown body, stable beige head, spotty lacing. Moderate smell of earthy malts and dried fruits. Flavoured with herbal hops, apricot and mid-sweet malts. Distant malt-fruity bitterness to the ending. Just alright. (08.02.2019).

Bottle from Taste of Northumbria. Appearance - deep amber and there's a red edge to it. Nice lacy head. Nose - redcurrants, muesli. Taste - more redcurrants and a hint of wild strawberry. Palate - light bodied, crunchy middle and end. Overall - potential that fell away.
