Deep, fairly hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a thick, two to three centimetre tall, very soapy off-white head that fades pretty quickly and shows a nice bright brown glow underneath. Aroma of pungent yeast, bread, light oranges, coriander seed and bubble gum with a distinct ester scent in the nose from the German yeast here. Medium-bodied; Very rich, but easy-going wheat note with a lot of residual yeast and breadiness here along with the coriander seed and especially curacao and full oranges that come through here and bring out more of a fruity and sugary quality, noticeable a bit more at the end. Aftertaste shows a nice bready quality, but the wheat and especially the oranges come out with a nice layer of sweetness above the effervescence and strong carbonation here. Overall, a fairly subdued, easy-going-ish beer with a lot of the good qualities of a german hef with a little bit of the local brewpub quality of soapy notes, mild flavours and nothing too overt or pungent, which works out great for the style. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Wegman's in Virginia Beach (VA Beach Boulevard), Virginia on 13-June-2021 for US$1,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 11-November-2021 in honor of Veteran's Day here in the capital.

Fresh 12 oz. can. Enjoyed straight from the can. Flavor throughout, clove center, yeasty finish. Tastes like Germany. Decent representation of the style.

12 ounce can. Hazy orange gold pour. Large frothy beige head reduces to a manageable small cap. Sweet yeasty wheat malt aroma hints at cloves. Flavor is sweet banana, cloves and bready malt. Some grassy, metallic notes in middle. A bit thin bodied with a sticky mouthfeel. Average.
