8% at Kingston Beer Festival - Pours black with a small beige head that settled to a thin film. The aroma is roasted malts, and coffee with some bitter chocolate notes. A rich roasted taste, roasted dark malts, sweet coffee, and chocolate flavours with a roasted and light smoky finish. Nice.

Draft sample @ Swafff! 2022 - shared with the Gentse Bierverniging team.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-Christmas Tasting. It pours near black with a medium tan head. The nose is toasty, cooking chocolate, earthy roast, coffee grounds, dark fruits, fruit cake and a touch of spice. The taste is bitter - sweet, chocolate roast, earthy roast, candied peel, mild acidity, alcohol heat, spice and chewy malt. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty hot and touch rough around the edges but overall not bad
