**American Wild Ale - 4.5% abv** A biscuity malt presence and earthy funk give way to graceful notes of lemon pepper, citrus blossom, sliced peach, and a touch of grassiness. Light-bodied with a bubbly effervescence and mild acid profile, Dutchman's Breeches is endlessly drinkable.

Bottle from my brother: pours orangish gold with white head. Aroma is funky, light apple or pear notes, stone fruit and flowers. Lightly sour, bright, easy to drink as a beer as opposed to an experience.

330mL bottle, undated (2024), drunk 3/4/25.
Clear, bright golden-brass. Small, white head, moderate retention.
Very funky with big bacterial sulfur and a light oakiness. Strong brett, strong lacto, light-to-moderate acetic. Well-presented and aromatic without too much acid or oak.
Light, spritzy with a huge lactic character that is not too punchy. Mild buttery oak and a lighter, but not thin or over-attenuated body. Tight carbonation and lingering citrus, herb and biscuity grains. I like how this drinks like it's closer to 6% in flavor/strength/yeast-bacteria-expression. Could use a bit less lactic acidity, though.

375 ml bottle, split by tfontana, baller! Aroma shows yeast, oak, lemon juice, old malt. Flavor is indeed refreshing. Does show the lemon citrus element with minerals and earth. Mildly tart. Effervescent and fresh over the tongue. Refreshing.

Bottle pour from the Fort Point brewery. Appearance is lightly hazy yellow with light sparkle, thin cap of white head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is mix of sour/tart and sweet fruit/cherry. Taste is strong funky tart fruit, lightly peppery, mineral water. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, soft carbonation and dry, crisp finish. Overall, strong aroma and taste but not my cup of tea.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to pool surface. Citrus and funk aromas. Crisp with earthy brett and pith upfront turning to lasting pith and peel finish.

Pours a slightly hazy pale straw from a bottle, fizzy head dissipates leaving a ring. Funky lemongrass aroma, smells like it will be sour but only a slight tang in the mouth. A metallic bitterness runs throughout, but flavor is largely grainy with a light lemon. Pretty good beer.
