6th December 2015
ChrisO Tasting. Hazy gold - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has mild fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, thin creamy sweetness. Trace of fresh orange in to a mild marmalade. Little pine. Mild hop spice. Light semi dry finish. Decent.

Bottle at Chriso’s Xmas Tasting 2015. It pours lightly hazy deep orange with a thick, white head. The nose is sweet, toasty, stewed tangerine & orange, earth and bready malts. The taste is bitter-sweet, toasted brown bread, earth, grass, chewy malts, varnish and some alcohol heat. Medium body and fine carbonation. Lacks clarity of flavour. Fairly basic stuff.

Bottle split at Chriso pre Xmas tasting, 06/12/15. Hazed orange amber with a decent beige covering. Nose is sweet malt, spice, bitter orange, a little basic. Taste comprises more sweet malts, caramel, citric peel, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Pretty average stuff, overly sweet and malty ... kind of a brewpubs ’our first IPA’ feel about it.

Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre-Christmas/post-Pigs Ear holiday tasting of 2015 - London. Thanks to mom for this one. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds crackery malts, old orange, faint caramel. Medium sweet flavor with old hops, bread, grass, pine, orange and more crackers. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary finish, lightly resinous, lightly warming, with more citrus fruits and crackers. Definitely not at peak freshness. So so.

Draught at MacGregors. Dark orange-amber, hazy, with a lacy head. Nose or tropical fruit and caramel. Flavor is chocolate, roasty caramel, pine, tropical fruits, some esters. Sweet treacle. Decent but not as nice as the other ipas. Rather sweet and caramelly.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy orange amber color topped by a massive foamy, rocky beige head. Aroma is funky with notes of tobacco, yeast and earthy, floral hops. Taste is more funk with notes of plastic and bitter hops. Not very good.
