Apple Brandy Champurrado

12oz can pours an opaque black with some sandy brick red head.  Nose explodes out of the glass, apple pie, preserved apples, baking spices, caramel.  Flavor has loads of apple, the apple pie is crazy, brandy too, spices, caramel, sweet and spicy.  Finishes full bodied, a bit too big.  9 5 8 4 17

Can pour (2019 vintage) courtesy of AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Appearance is opaque black with no sparkle, thin cap of light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is apple brandy, cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa. Taste is apple brandy, cinnamon, milder vanilla, mildest cocoa and hint of chili flavor. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with thin, smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, nice balance of flavors and decent complexity. Heat absent from this stout vs. fresher ones I tried previously so would recommend experiencing fresh for the full chili experience.

Can. I wish I had more of this! Apple brandy and cinnamon over chocolate. Flavor is rich and decadent with the barrel enhancing an already wonder base imperial stout. Thick body with a mild warming after the sip. It drinks big because it is big. Whoa!!!

Can. A- Apples, cinnamon, mild chocolate. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Apples, cinnamon, chocolate. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- The apple brandy here does not add only booze but rather a complex apple touch. Combined with the cinnamon this makes for a hot apple cider or apple jacks like flavor. The chilies are hardly noticeable and the vanilla is fairly minimal too. Really outstanding and I can't wait for a can of this from a friend. I want so much more.
