33cl bottle. Pours almost black with a nice huge good lasting tan head. Aroma of chocolate, dark sweet malt, some wood. Taste of strong dark malt, chocolate, some coffee, some wood, the alcohol is well present. Good!

Bottle from bierkonig. Black with a mocha head. Aroma of coffee malt. Flavour is milk chocolate, licorice, vanilla, roasted fruit, dry base. Spicy finish.

0.33 l bottle at ’Craft Beer Corner’, bottled in July 2016. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Sweetish, slightly roasty-malty aroma of licorice, coffee and milk chocolate. Very sweet, malty and slightly roasty taste of milk chocolate, licorice, typical Jopen candy, and some coffee, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly yeasty finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, not that great for that abv.

33 cl bottle @ home. Mostly black color with a dense light brown head. Aroma’s: roasty, lactose, (milk) chocolate, some red fruit, but no real balance (and I’m not too crazy about lactose). Retronasal it’s sweet, lactose, fruity, roasty, much better. Flavor is moderate to full sweet, roasted, with some fruit. Medium to full bodied. Finishes with more chocolate, some roast. Overall much better than expected from the smell.

Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of dark roasted malts. Also a bittersweet treacle-like element too. Rich and complex.

Bottle at home. Black with light tan head. Deep roasted chocolate malts, dry malts, dark fruits, dades, chocolate, molasses, milk sugar sweetness. Big sweet, medium roasty bitter. Over medium body, little boozy, soft bubbly carbonation. Sweet and roasty finish.

Intensiver, malzig würziger Beginn. Deutliche Laktose Noten, minimal herb, rund würzig. Vollmundig, lang anhaltend, der Alkoholgehalt ist nie erkennbar. 12/9/8/9//10
