Taster pour at Powder Keg Beer and Chili Festival. Appearance is opaque black with finger-width light brown, rocky foam head, lacing. Aroma is strong, rich roasted malts with a hint of dark chocolate. Taste is roasted malts like the aroma. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and bittersweet finish as taste, bordering on ash. Overall, a good straightforward roasted malt stout without additional nuance.
