A reddish copper ale with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, a smooth nutty malt with herbal notes, grassy, not bad. In mouth, a smooth treacle caramel malt with lightly roasted character, oily mouthfeel, nice. Tasted with ProbstBlueRibbon, July 7, 2012. Thanks Karl.

got in the Winter Land 12 pack. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, creamy, white head that diminished but lasted throughout leaving a nice amount of lacing in my mug. Lightly hazy. No much in the nose, a bit of rye after it warms. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of malt, grains, slight caramel, and a hint of hibiscus. All these flavors are very weak. Repeat; VERY weak. This one started nice but has fell flat on it face. Sort of bland... watery mouthfeel, not one I would seek out.

Weird malty thicker sorta floral experience. Does come across more of a strongerbrew, but not 6%. Probably should be categorized as a veggy herb with the hibiscus added. I’m not sure what hibiscus smells like, in my limited redneck experiences, but sumtins in there.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a red-amber color with a large foamy brown head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was sweet caramel and a touch of perfume. The flavor was sweetish and tangy with moderate toasted caramel and light perfumey and floral undertones. the finish was short, sweetish and had lingering caramel. Medium body. Pleasant.

Pours orange brown into a shaker. White head recedes to hug rim. Sweet hibiscus, marshmallow and rose hip aromas. Crisp bread upfront turning sweet and flowery in the finish.

First to rate this. WOOHOO! From the winter sampler purchased at a Kroger. Pours a clear copper color with a medium creamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of hibiscus, nutty and earthy notes. The taste is malty with floral notes, some raisins and a grainy finish. Faint leafy hops. Medium bodied. Fairly boring, but leagues better than the apple wit from last season.
