Bottle stamped best by 10/7 > stemless wine glass A: Clear pale gold with 1/2" of white head. Good retention and elaborate lace. S: Winy aroma of green apple or pear and a little alcohol surprisingly. T: Bitter but also sour flavor with the same wine notes from the nose. Fruit notes not as pronounced as in the nose and alcohol again seems present. Faint hint of sweetness lingers along with a medicinal note. M: Light bodied with slightly oily mouthfeel and low carbonation. O: Average at best with nothing standing out and only a fair to middling taste.

Crisp golden and very light amber coloured body with a soapy white head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of malt, grass, grain and a hint of perfume - not much going on in the nose. Light-bodied; Sharp metallic flavour at first with hints of grass and hay and a little twang of medicine and pungent bitterness and only a touch of hops to try to balance out the malt and astringent bitterness. Aftertaste shows nothing new and no depth with just the pungent alcohol and astringency coming through and nothing in reserve. Overall, a decent beer at best, but too much astringency, too many harsh flavours and not enough body or depth to make this good, even for the style. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Cary, North Carolina on 02-August-2014 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 20-August-2014.

12 oz.bottle that I got in a trade with Kajll. Thanks Ken! This was the better of the two Kolsch styles, nice pick. Pored a almost amber / hazy yellow color with a small amount of head.A light bit of hops aroma with some cooked cereal and grain. A very nice nose that I really liked. Light watery body with medium-high carbonation. Starts with light acidity and some grainy sweetness. Mild malt flavor. Mild hops and light bitter finish. I found this to be pleasant, got one more Kolsch tonight.

12 oz. bottle courtesy ucusty. Thanks! Pours a slightly cloudy amber-orange with a weak, quickly disappearing head. Syrupy peach/pineapple aroma with grain and caramel notes. Much drier taste with some fruity notes, grass, hay and bitter hops. Medium bodied.
