Pale brown, no head. Big bourbon aroma, applewood, rich wheatwine, with light fruit and big toffee. Oh that’s excellent, rich toffee, slight fruit, really rich bourbon, vanilla. The apple helps soften this, brown sugars. Good body. Fantastic.

16 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with beige head. Aroma is complex, with lots of apple brandy, caramel, brown sugar, and toffee. Flavour is complex, with bourbon, applewood, caramel, and borne sugar. Rich, complex, bourbony and woody. Excellent.

Nose - nougat and wood. A hint of Calvados.
Taste - praline and nougat, hazelnut, toffee and sweet chocolate.
Palate - rich and full bodied, very sweet.

Bottle. Goose Island specials have recently become available in the Netherlands at nice prices. Color: Clear dark copper, very thin and fast disappearing light brown head. Aroma: Caramel fudge, Bourbon, boozy notes. Taste: Sweetish, caramel fudge, Bourbon, vanilla, hoppy backbone. Boozy notes. Wood notes. Fruity hints. Over medium sweet, moderate to over moderate bitterness. Dry-ish, more bittery, woody and boozy finish, warming mouthfeel. Full body, below average carbonation. Nice slow sipper.

Reddish orange colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is wheat, some wooden tones with mild alcohol, some ripe bananas as well as some vanilla tones. Flavour is a nice blend of the same elements as the aroma has. Gentle and very enjoyable.
