Cask at The Briar Rose, Birmingham. Clear light amber with smooth off-white head. Very malty with some toffee, bread, iced fingers, grassy bitter kick. Smooth, medium body. Arguably a bit one dimensional but there is a nice balance to this.

Cask @ Bell Hotel, Norwich. Deeper golden with a thin head. Hopped brew with a notable strength, but full body for it too.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours golden amber with minimal off-white head and good lacing. Malts and traditional hops mix well in the aroma. In the mouth it is juicy with superficial sweetness but some underlying bitterness which increases to dominate. Malts and traditional hops again plus later on some pine and grapefruit hints. Finish is fruity and slightly dry. This is decent – nicely balanced.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 11 August 2024. Deep golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. A touch of hedgerow hop, rich tea malts, some caramel sweetness and a suggestion of hay, leading to a dryish finish. Fine.

Fra cask på Mossy Well: klar dyp gyllen med fint skum som varer helt ned. Deilig urtebitterhet sammen med furunåler, litt besk citrus og god maltsmak.

On cask at the Caley Picture House. Appearance - amber with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - green apple and toffee. A hint of lemon and brown bread. Taste - more toffee and green apple. Palate - close to medium bodied. Crunchy and tangy through the middle. Dry finish. Overall - not sure about the green apple note.
