This stout poured a deep black colour with a creamy, light brown head. Nice lacing. Scents include wallpaper paste, light coffee and a little cocoa. Not heavy on the nose at all. First swig was smooth and creamy with lots of nice roasty malt flavours, molasses, coffee and cocoa. Finish is delicious and burnt with a lightly sweet finish.

On nitro tap at Calabogie - Kanata, pours black with a thick creamy tan head. Nose is full of lactose and cocoa, with a hint of roast. Flavour is much the same, with lots of lactose, dry cocoa powder, and just enough roast to provide a foundation. Chocolatey, gently sweet, roasty finish. Very good for the style.

Enjoyed at the Loft. Pours a real dark brown colour, almost black with a warm light beige cap, long lasting and creamy lacing. Roasted malt nose with hints of chocolate and coffee. Dark malt taste with fruity notes. The roastiness and mild hops lingers. Decent sweetness from the mild, but not overly. Good roasted stout.

A brown stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, loads of sweet chocolate malt with light licorice, earthy character, grassy hops, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, powdery mouth feel, nice and smooth. On tap at the Cheshire Cat.
