Son nom mélodieux évoque la dénomination typique des pubs écossais tout en rappelant l’instrument tout aussi typique des musiciens en kilt. Un nez sucré de malt et de caramel s’épand sur un fonds de noisettes grillées. Un subtil fumet de tourbe s’y fond loin derrière. En bouche c’est rond, sucré, caramélisé, avec des notes de fruits rouges, se terminant par un sucré mielleux et un rôti de pain grillé. L’alcool réconfortante réchauffe le cœur et élimine les dernières notes de froideurs

(buffalo trace). A dark reddish copper ale with a thin lacing brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with loads of bourbon barrel notes, woody notes, grassy floral hops, treacle, warming alcohol, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with light grassy hops, bourbon barrel, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice and smooth. On tap at Festibière de Gatineau hiver 2016.

Draught: Poured a cloudy dirty amber color ale with a small foamy head. Aroma of strong bourbon and vanilla notes with loads of caramelized malt and strong residual sugar notes. Taste is pretty extreme with loads of residual sugar and strong bourbon and vanilla notes with caramelized malt notes also discernable. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. A bit too extreme for my taste – more balance between the different flavors would have been welcomed.
