On tap at PreFunk. Looks unassuming, aroma hints at flavor, which then wallops the palate. Over the top sourness, still maintaining the fruity essence of the pluots. Just be ready to pucker....

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong plum skin, oak, stone fruit. Thin mouth, tart plum, wood, very acidic but pleasantly sour, really good.

375ml shared by Ben. Nice plum aroma. Easy and drinkable, at least for my small pour. Leans a little into the overboard US sour tones. Solid. Very pleasant.

late 2013/early 2014 375mL drunk Summer 2014
Pour is a fantastically pleasing light pink-violet, with high clarity and a light beige head that is medium-sized and well-retained. Sediment in the bottom of the bottle.
Bright, tart, jubilant plum notes combine with soft brett tartness and just a hint of oak tannin to form a very enticing, highly aromatic nose. Nothing here is overdone yet the pluots are at the forefront. Some phenolics round out the finish, adding black pepper and more dryness while there is no hint of alcohol or flaw.
The flavor is just as cohesive and delightful as the nose, producing a bit of vanilla-like barrel character up front which quickly dries in to both sour, lactic and tart, acidic pluot flavors. Medium to light bodied but not thin, with a soft, expansive texture and lip smacking tartness on the end, replete with a soft, almost chalky-like pluot sweetness for balance. I do see where the "astringent/grainy" comments are coming from, but for me it straddles the line perfectly and the relative cracker-like malt dryness alllows the other flavors to be showcased, while keeping the beer light, bright and drinkable. Glad I have another bottle! Not glad that I can’t get more of their stuff more easily.

375ml bottle pours a hazy, straw gold with a ring of cloudy, white head. Nose has sour notes, fruity too, kumquat, grassy, white peach, unripened plum. Flavor is sweet, very fruity, white grape, white peach, kumquat, lemon, blood orange. Tart, refreshing finish.

375ml bottle. Poured a cloudy orange color with some light off-white head. Aroma was notes of fruits, pluot? Flavor was straw, pluot? Fruity.
