They redeemed themselves with this beer. On tap at the Ottawa Beer fest. A dark brown pour with a thick tan head. Looks good, nice aroma of roastiness, soft cocoa and light molasses. The taste is sweet maple sugar, good smokiness - it really does evoke a sugar shack. The body is somewhat thin though. Man this is night and day from Raspberry Princess.

A dark brown porter with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light chocolate, light off notes. In mouth, a sweet cloying mix of maple, chocolate, light licorice, chinotto, off flavor and fusel alcohol. On tap at Brewer?s Backyard April 2014.
