(Draught at Bar Hop, Nov 1 2013) Pours very dark brown-black with a dense tan nitro head with typical related retention and lace. Aroma has roast coffee, lots of pumpkin flesh, blend of spices including ginger, a little chocolate. Flavour follows the nose well, pumpkin flesh and spice blend both big components, roast coffee and dark chocolate core there for support but not extremely strong. In the middle the pumpkin is dominant along with an interesting cacao/nutmeg combo. Finish some roast coffee, lingering spice. Creamy medium-full nitro palate, silky-smooth and fairly rich but not thick. The porter body isn’t too hefty but that lets the pumpkin shine, and the nitro is a good choice. Truly excellent pumpkin beer.

A dark brown porter with a thin brown head. A sweet candy bottle cap aroma with cola and chinotto character, pleasant. In mouth, strange mix of cloves, chocolate, cinnamon, powdery mix of spices, interesting but not excellent. Cask Days 2013.
